The King's Room
Guest Amenities.....Each of our six private rooms have a comfy seating area for
you to sit and chat ... Or just sit back to relax and enjoy a good book. Rooms
are well stocked with luxury pillows and bed linens, as well as an ample supply
of white over sized Egyptian cotton bath towels and bath linens, two warm terry
robes, and complementary shampoo, hair rinse, lotions, mouthwash,
toothpaste, Q-tips, cotton balls, hair dryer, an alarm clock/radio... And lots of
books (old and new!) Of course, an iron and ironing board is available upon
request, as well as laundry services. Although The Tavern was built in 1793,
our facilities are 21st century. All rooms have air conditioning, wireless internet
access, and cable TV in the common "Keeping Room." Rates range from
$135.-$195. Extended stay & senior discounts.

closet, window shutters, curved ceiling (as it was once part of the grand ballroom),
oriental rugs and luxury bed linens. The King's Room overlooks the beautiful

The Yellow Room - Overlooking the rear terrace and gardens,
and next to the Red Room, the Yellow Room features a Queen
bed, a single bed, a private bathroom, oriental rugs, and is
located next to the upstairs "Keeping Room".. a common area
with overstuffed cozy sofa and love seat, fireplace, cable
television and coffee station. Hanging in the Yellow Room is
an original page from Romanian artist, Jeanne-Claude
Christo's sketchbook, detailing his Japan/USA "Umbrellas"
project. The Christo Room has brilliant golden sienna
hand-stenciled walls and overlooks the terrace and gardens.
